Support Unit (software and hardware)
Support unit as an independent part in the Informatics department has started working from 1387 with the following aims:
- Creating a comprehensive and centralized software and hardware system at the University
- Solving software and hardware problems of computers and users in the shortest time possible
- Reducing cost of services
This unit has the following responsibilities in the Informatics department:
- Investigating and resolving hardware problems of computers and their peripheral devices
- Supplying hardware components and general software
- Monitoring computer accessories and peripherals purchase
- Sending irreparable computers outside of the University to be fixed
- Solving computers' and users' software problems through the network and remotely
- Solving users' software and hardware problems
- Managing users' licenses through software and hardware changes of computers
- Supporting the operating system's update service and computers' software in WSUS Server network.
Systems and users in educational and administrative units will be provided will all these services according to the internal bylaw written in the Informatics department.
