Outstanding features of electricity has turned power industry into the driving force of the country's development. Due to the recent development in science and technology and environmental problems such as limitation of power sources, various professional fields in power electronics have been created. Nowadays, fields such as power electronics (including production, transfer and distribution), electrical machines, industrial electronics, renewable energies, distributed generation, energy management, electrical cars, saving electricity and high-pressure technologies are all sub majors of power electronics. Control electronics refers to the ability to control fundamental variables of a system and adjusting them according to your needs. These variables include speed, time, energy consumption, etc. To elaborate, consider a military's planes ascent time. Angles of the wings, the amount of injected fuel and other variables must be calculated by mathematical methods to decrease the mentioned time. Faculty of Power and Control Electronics Engineering has started its mission with the aim of carrying out research and educating students in the aforesaid fields. This faculty is now accepting undergraduate and graduate students in Bachelor and Master of Power Electronics Engineering as well as graduate students in Power and Control electronics and Electric Machines.
